More than 4 thousand new jobs will be created and HUF 320 billion spent by those 15 automotive companies that will be responsible for this year’s biggest investments. The biggest one is that of Hankook Tire: the new factory that is to be built in Rácalmás will provide 950 new workplaces.
Hungary is getting more and more popular among the foreign investors: almost 4100 new workplaces are going to be created by those 15 automotive companies that will be responsible for this year’s biggest investments: a total HUF 320 billion will be spent on the projects. According to the report of Óbuda Group the biggest investment is that of Hankook Tire. The company is planning to spend HUF 97 billion on building a new factory in Rácalmás, which will be opened this year, and will provide job opportunities for 950 employees. With this project the total value of Hankook’s Hungarian investments will exceed HUF 270 billion.
The New Factory Launches this Summer
According to the plans 17 million tires will be manufactured in the Hungarian Hankook factories annually. The manufacturing is planned to be launched this summer. Thanks to the new projects Hungarian subcontractors get a huge opportunity. The 2nd biggest project is that of Bridgestone: the company extends its factory in Tatabánya, which will cost HUF 71.5 billion, and create 500 new jobs. The 3rd biggest investment is that of Prec-Cast Ltd.: the launch of the new plant in Sátoraljaújhely will cost HUF 30 billion and create 300 workplaces.
Takata Creates 1000 New Jobs
Denso Hungary Ltd. got the 4th place with its Székesfehérvár project. Extending their factory will cost HUF 29 billion and provide 300 new job opportunities. Bosch is responsible for the 5th biggest investment: the company extends its Budapest factory, which will cost HUF 24 billion. The most new workplaces will be created by the Japanese Takata: the company needs 1000 employees for its new plant in Miskolc, which will be built for HUF 21 billion, and launched this year. Beside the mentioned companies the list also includes Opel, Continental Automotive Hungary Ltd., Provertha Ltd. and MOBIS.
