Budapest is Among the Friendliest Cities of the World

Back

Budapest is among the bests again. This time it got the 11th place on the list of travel site Condé Nast Traveler, which asked the readers to name the friendliest cities. Budapest shares the 11th place with Austrian Salzburg.

1. Melbourne (Australia) and Auckland (New Zealand)

Locals in Melbourne have a great sense of humor, and the city is full of nice parks. Auckland got the 1st place because of its nice people.

2. Victoria (BC, Canada)

To see Victoria you need at least a week, but it’s worth it: you can ride a bike, walk around or go whale watching.

3. Charleston (South Carolina, USA)

Southern hospitality amazes the tourists, who said they could even stay here for good.

4. Sydney (Australia) and Dublin (Ireland)

Sydney was praised because its beautiful harbors and beaches and the nice locals. Dublin is great for walking around in the green environment, or drinking a beer in a pub chatting with the locals for hours.

5. Siem Reap (Cambodia)

Siem Reap got the 7th place because of the nice locals, sights and food.

6. Cape Town (South Africa)

Tourists love the amazing mix of mountains and the beach, and they say it’s absolutely safe to walk around here even if you’re alone and you’re a woman.

7. Sevilla (Spain) and Savannah (Georgia, USA)

Locals in Sevilla are helpful, and they are the best flamenco dancers of the world, tourists say. The visitors of the oldest city of Georgia feel like they travelled back in time.

8. Budapest (Hungary) and Salzburg (Austria)

Tourists find Budapest majestic and breathtaking. They are mostly interested in its elegant buildings and rich history. Salzburg has these, too, and the view of the mountains is also beautiful here.
